Email Marketing For Service Businesses. Don’t Forget To Ask For The Sale!

I was excited! I had been searching for a new service provider to fill a gap in my support team. I am not one for hiring, but I am a huge fan of outsourcing.

I narrowed my search down to just three businesses who could provide the service that I needed.

I made contact with two of them, but on the third one’s website I came across a full blown, armour plated “Customer Avoidance Scheme”.

It was impossible to contact the company.

The ONLY method of contact, across their entire website, was a contact form on the contact page. This was bad enough in and of itself (if you want to know why, ask me), but on this occasion I could not complete the enquiry form because their Google Recaptcha (spam) code wasn’t working.

The service that I was looking to buy costs around £300 PER MONTH, so here is a business losing nearly £4,000 per annum from my business, but more likely than not many other businesses too.

How is the Customer Avoidance Scheme in your business?

This is one place where I see people making a huge mistake with their email marketing.

They persuade someone to sign up for their list, they communicate with them for weeks or months onEmail Marketing For Service Businesses. Don’t Forget To Ask For The Sale! end and throughout this time they never once ask the person reading the email to take the relationship to the next stage. This is a Customer Avoidance Scheme in full flow.

Depending what you sell, depends what your call to action might be.

If you sell a high priced one to one service, the answer is simple; you need to offer a free strategy call with your email readers.

If you sell a product, it is even easier; invite the reader to buy your product.

If you sell a training product or event, tie in the email content to that topic and invite them to click through to the sales page.

Just don’t make the mistake of the business I talk about in this email.

A Customer Avoidance Scheme is great for your competitor’s business, but not for your own.

I am committed to ensuring that you start and use your email marketing list, because I know it can and will put many thousands of pounds into your business. This is the sole reason why I have put together my complete set up and marketing guide for you to take away any reasons for you not to get started.

Email marketing is simply too important.

Email marketing is so much more powerful than social media because on social media you are sharing your prospects eyes and their attention with 1,000 other distractions. With email marketing, you are having a one to one conversation and you have your prospects undivided attention (with not one dancing squirrel in sight).

Email marketing makes your business stronger, more secure and more profitable.

Don’t worry if you cannot think what you can write about, that is all covered in the email marketing guide below.
